Elizabeth Beryl "Betty" Coffin passed away November 15, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at Integris Hospice Hospital.  She was born in Stockdale, Kansas on September 18, 1919 to Will Outhwaite and Nadine  (Rankin) Gibbon and grew up in Howard, Kansas.  

Betty graduated from Howard High School in 1937.  She attended college at College of Emporia in Emporia, Kansas.  She married Keith W. Coffin in Wichita, Kansas, and they lived in Midwest City, Oklahoma before moving to Enid, Oklahoma where they lived for many years.  She was an active member of First Methodist Church and the DB-PEO Chapter of Enid.  She recently moved to Oklahoma City, residing at Sterling House of Bethany to be near family.  

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Bertha Mae Moore of Oklahoma City; her nieces, Pat Gibbon of Seattle, Washington, Kay Gibbon Lee of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Annette Caldwell of Naperville, Illinois, and Beverly Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her nephews, John Gibbon of Bloomington, Illinois and Jerry Lee Moore of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two dear long-term friends, JoAnn and Max Waggoner of Enid, Oklahoma and Oneta and Truman Williams of Anadarko, Oklahoma; and many friends at Burgundy House in Enid, Oklahoma.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Nadine Gibbon; her husband, Keith W. Coffin; and three brothers, William, Frank, and Bob.

No services are scheduled.  She will be buried next to her husband at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas.  Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home in Enid, Oklahoma.
