I got my real estate tax statements and guess what.  They have gone down.

Wilma, we received our tax statements from Elk County today and our taxes were down also. I think I will give the amount they were reduced by to Elk Konnect so they can continue to have activities for the children.

Subsidizing Public Square Communities, LLC through Elk Konnected fees makes perfectly good sense in this economy.  That is, after all, where EK sends the vast majority of its' money....  and one of the places one of our county commissioners is employed as a facilitator/change agent.  

Mine went down too.  $20.44 for the year.  Sorry, I'm not gonna subsidize Liz with mine.   Perhaps some caviar instead!

There will be plenty of money in the county rec fund for the $250.00 slippery slides.

You are surely aware that property taxes are paid in arrears.  As such, I believe that we won't get to enjoy the increased mill levies recently passed by Elk Valley and West Elk School districts until the bills for 2012 taxes arrive in November of 2012. 

Speaking of school budgets $ taxes... $9,3000,000 to educate about 300 gremlins for one year in West Elk...  Nice.  For only a little more, we could give them fur lined toilet seats and X-Box games to help improve eye hand coordination skills... unless somebody you elected already took care of that somewhere in the upcoming budget.

Nope, thrilled.  But living solidly in the past with no sound analysis or forward view is foolish and without wisdom.  You're forward looking/thinking and not unwise or foolish, right?
