Yes & yes.  You can bet your petunias on it.  And that oath didn't mention the flag once.  The Constitution, yes. 'Lawful' orders, yes.  Some flag or other idol, no.

Pledge to be in the armed services?   NOPe never took a pledge.  They don't require a pledge. THey do however require a oath (not the pledge)  As stated "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God. "

Notice to defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign or domestic.  Obama is a enemy and anyone that does anything to attempt to usurp the constitutional authority, no matter what it is is a enemy of this nation.

Love and devotion to ones country.  And yes i remember what the pledge was. It was written by bellamy who was a socialist/communist that hated this country as it was founded.  He worked very hard to dismantle the constitution as well as the Republic based on the rule of law into a Socialist mob ruled nation. 

He should have been shot or hung one or the other.
