Breathe deep the gathering gloom,Watch lights fade from every room.Bedsitter people look back and lament,Another day's useless energy spent.Impassioned lovers wrestle as one,Lonely man cries for love and has none.New mother picks up and suckles her son,Senior citizens wish they were young.MoodyBlues

I will not argue this. I saw what I saw on the show. Steve can call up the show and argue with them himself! I just thought it was interesting to see the old flag.
I swear if I just stated that the sun rose in the east somebody would argue and tell me I'm wrong.

Steve, after you watch the clip I would be interested in what you have to add. Diane you did in fact see what you saw. I remembered the show from a while back. I had forgotten that there was some chance Kansas would have gone to the Confederacy. Kansas was a very pivitol state when it came to the Civil War. I think Waldo posted some good info. on Kansas and the Civil War this a few years back. I will try to find the posts here on the forum.

You are arguing that there were more than 13 states?

In a 3' x 5' shape, the Naval Jack was used by the Army of Tennessee, one of the main forces in the Western field of operations. The Stars and Bars with 18 stars (13 white representing the 13 states and 5 red, representing the five civilized nations - Indians that fought for the confederacy) was the last one to be used in the field by the last Confederate General to surrender with the Cherokee brigade.
