Old T-Shirts

If anyone has any old t-shirts I could use them. My girls are going to try and make a rug out of t-shirts. This is a project for 4-H that I found in my family fun book. I don't think small rips will matter, would rather not have ones with tons of oil or grease on them. They can have stains, as I don't really think they will show up.
