Barber-Alexander Marriage

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin J. Barber announce the marriage of their daughter, Adelaide to Mr. Carl B.  Alexander, Friday, December 19, 1930, at Howard, Kansas.

The bride is a native Howard girl, well known and popular with a large circle of friends.  For quite a while she has been proprietor and manager of the Metropolitian Cafe, and is a capable young business woman and conducts a popular and prosperous establishment.

Mr. Alexander has been a citizen of Elk County a number of years, is the county engineer and one of the most efficient engineers and directors of work in the good roads industry in southern Kansas.  He is widely known in the road work of southern Kansas and is an acknowledged authority in that line.

Mr. and Mrs. Alexander will for the present be at home in their apartment at the Metropolitian Hotel, and they are receiving the congratulations and best wishes of their hosts of friends, at this Merry Christmas time.

May they live long and prosper.
