Jeffrey Lee Petzel of Longton, Kansas, age 50, died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  Jeff was born on November 1, 1960 in Downey, California.  He is the son of Lynne A. (Petzel) Agulara.

Jeff was a graduate of Fredonia High School in Fredonia, Kansas, class of 1978.  He grew up near the Fall River, Kansas area where he lived with his family and was raised by Jack Burke, who is now deceased.  After serving in the military, Jeff returned home and began working building up his farm to raise cattle, which was his true desire and interest.  He was also a welder-fabricator and could pretty much do any type of work that he set his mind to.  Over 20 years ago, Jeff met his companion and best friend, Terri L. Beggs.  She and Jeff began their life together working to build their cattle farm. 

Terri survives at their home  Other survivors include daughters, Rachel Beggs of Emporia, Kansas and Jessica Knox of Kansas City, Missouri;  mother, Lynne A. Agulara of California; sisters, Wendy Bunyard of Fall River, Kansas, Cindy Ashcroft of Peru, Indiana, and Tammy Lovely of Virginia; stepbrother, Ronald Powell of Climax, Kansas;  grandmother, Barbara Dwyer of Downey, California; granddaughter, Alauna Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews.  Jeff was preceded in death by one sister, Belinda.

Cremation has been requested.  A memorial service is planned for Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fall River Community Building with the Rev. Gene Benefiel officiating.  Memorials have been suggested to either the American Heart Association or the Susan G.
