Elsie Pearl (Liston) (McIntyre) Concannon passed away Saturday January 1, 2011 at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder, Louisiana at the age of 90 years old.  Elsie was born on March 21, 1920 to Everett W. Liston and Ethel Gertrude (Cardin) Liston in Ripley, Oklahoma.

Elsie graduated from Ripley High School in 1937.  She was a member of Ripley First Church of God.  She married Raymond George McIntyre at Guthrie, Oklahoma in 1938.  They made their home 10 miles west of Howard, Kansas.  In Howard, Elsie was active in Elk County 4-H.  She served as a project leader and an adult leader for more than 16 years.  She was also active in the Elk County Extension Council.  She farmed with her husband for over 30 years.  They were later divorced in 1968.

She worked for 11 years for the Elk County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Office (ASCS).  She was transferred to the Olathe ASCS office where she worked for 5 years.  After retiring from federal service, she married James M. Concannon Jr. in 1973.  They made their home in Garden City, Kansas. She worked for Far Better Feeds as a secretary to the regional manager.  She and her husband owned Concannon Liquor Store until Mr. Concannon's death in 1986.  Elsie received her real estate license and sold real estate for 16 years.

She moved to Bedford, Texas in 1992 to help care for her son-in-law, Jim, Mullins, who had cancer.  After his death, she worked at Granny's Store at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas.  In 2002, she moved to Perkins, Oklahoma to be near her granddaughter, Michelle.  When her grandson-in-law was transferred to Louisiana, she moved with them and resided with them until her death.

Elsie is survived by her sister, Lavon Robinson and husband, Wayne of Woodburn, Oregon; her brother, Cecil Liston of Boulder City, Nevada; her daughters, Shirley Ann Mullins and Gary Van Aller of Bedford, Texas and Karen Sue Jordan and husband, Rich of Little Elm, Texas; her granddaughters, Angela Appleton and husband, Mike of Bedford, Texas and Michelle Washam and husband, David of DeRidder, Louisiana;  her grandson, John Crawford and wife, Amanda of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and her great-grandchildren, Amber and husband, Grant of Lubbock, Texas, Cody Appleton of Bedford, Texas, Jacob and Zoe Washam of DeRidder, Louisiana, and Jacey, Lucas, and Jocelyn Crawford of Stillwater, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by he parents; her first husband, Raymond McIntyre, her second husband, Jim Concannon; her son-in-law, Jim Mullins; and her sister-in-law, Peggy Liston.

At her request, no service will be held.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Chris Granger for his care ; Dequincy Home Health Employees, Mr. Doug, Ms. Carlotta, and Mrs. Kathy; and the nurses at Beauregard Memorial Hospital.
