Cecil Lee Green, educator and county superintendent of Elk County, was bornin Moline, Kansas, July 20, 1902 and died at Wichita on October 13, 1932.

He was the son of William Young and Minta (Lee) Green, the former of whom is still living.  The mother died at Moline on October 2, 1927.

Mr. Green attended the rural schools of Chautauqua County, and was graduated from the Pittsburg High School.  During the summers of 1924-29 he attended Pittsburg State Teachers College.  He also taught in rural schools eight years.  He was a Republican.  On March 22, 1930,  he was married to Opal Elnora Bacus at Howard.  She was born there on March 30, 1904, daughter of Edson H. and Emma Lou (Osborn) Bacus.  Mrs. Green is an educator also, and is now serving as county superintendent of Elk County.  She is a graduate of Howard High School and has attended Emporia State Teachers College as well as Pittsburg State Teachers College.  She is a Republican.

Mr. Green was a member of the Belknap Methodist Church, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, the Rebekah's, the Chamber of Commerce, the National Education Association, and the Red Cross.  (Photograph in Album.)

Wasn't it nice that whoever wrote this bio put in that Cecil Green's wife was a Republican?

I've wondered if Cecil Green's wife may have written that biography.  That is the only thing I have been able to come up with, as to who would put her political affiliation in that bio.
