More evidence Obuma knows there will be a Democrat bloodbath at the polls: he has changed his schedule and is flying away for 12 whole days, just two days after election, and is going to the other side of the world.  Those recriminations are not going to be fun, and its best to be an honored guest in places that feel honored to have a presidential visit.

Chidanand Rajghatta reports in the Times of India:

"The White House has advanced President Obuma's visit to India by two days, according to sources.  He will now be landing in India on the night of November 5, flying most likely into Mumbai first."

BTW.... the second  leg of the trip will be the twice-postponed trip to Indonesia, the country where the young Barry was adopted by his Indonesian stepfather and acquired the name Soetoro and possibly Indonesian nationality and the religion of Islam (he was registered in school as a Muslim).  He will also visit Japan and South Korea.  Presumably a visit with the Emperor of Japan is not on the schedule, to avoid the embarrassment of will-he-or-won't-he speculation over bowing low to the monarch whose father led Japan to war with the US.  Guess the Clown doesn't want to stay around and take the heat.

Obumas' Explain $1 Billion Trip To India

http://www.ndtv.com/article/india/obamas-wanted-to-celebrate-diwali-in-india-64177?pfrom=Namaste,-Obama

It's being reported by NDTV.com of India that the reason for Obama's $200 million a day (that's right... a day) trip to the sub-continent is because Obama wanted to "specifically" celebrate Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, with Indians.

"He (Obama) specifically wanted to have an opportunity to celebrate Diwali and to do so with the Indian people, getting beyond simply his official business," Jeff Bader, Senior Director for Asia Affairs at the National Security Council, White House, said.

Obama became the first US president to personally celebrate Diwali in the White House last year.

In both 2009 and 2010, Obama elected not to host the National Day of Prayer, as has been a recent Presidential tradition, initiated by Harry Truman, and made permanent by Ronald Reagan.
The average annual income in India is $460.

86% of the population lives under $2 per day; 44% lives under $1 per day.

Obama India Trip To Cost Taxpayers $200 Million A Day

http://www.ndtv.com/article/india/us-to-spend-200-mn-a-day-on-obama-s-mumbai-visit-64106

The Press Trust of India reports that the Obamas lavish get out of town and mambo in Mumbai trip will lost U.S. taxpayers $200 million a day:
Mumbai: The US would be spending a whopping $200 million per day on President Barack Obama's visit to the city. "The huge amount of around $200 million would be spent on security, stay and other aspects of the Presidential visit," a top official of the Maharashtra Government privy to the arrangements for the high-profile visit said. About 3,000 people including Secret Service agents, US government officials and journalists would accompany the President. Several officials from the White House and US security agencies are already here.

Okay... if this is true... what an unbelieveable CLOWN!!!!  Will this idiot ever learn! :( :( :(

Teresa, could you make it a little clearer on your feelings on Obama and this trip. He just doesn't get it, I watched him again early this morning and I am amazed that he accepts no blame for the biggest change in the House in 70 years.

Claims made above wildly exaggerated
http://factcheck.org/2010/11/ask-factcheck-trip-to-mumbai/

You know what, you cannot possibly put factcheck as a reliable source.  HEll they don't even know how much is being spent right now until its over.  SO factcheck has no leg to stand on in its assertation.

Neither do unverified news sources, especially those from a foreign country that couldn't possibly know how much is being spent.

Minus that they'll at least know what the costs are over there i.e. hotel rooms, food, possibly the security, etc.

Factcheck's claim that it is not that high is that the White House told them it is not that high. We all know how truthful the White House usually is... ::)
