Muslim Gay Bar next to Ground Zero Mosque

I love it. In response to the proposed Ground Zero mosque, Greg Gutfeld (of FoxNews "Red Eye") has a proposal of his own. And I do believe he's serious about it.

Via Hot Air, via Instapundit, Greg Gutfeld is raising money for a Muslim gay bar to be a neighbor of the new mosque. Here's to tolerance!

This is not a joke. I've already spoken to a number of investors, who have pledged their support in this bipartisan bid for understanding and tolerance.

Gutfeld:  "As you know, the Muslim faith doesn't look kindly upon homosexuality, which is why I'm building this bar. It is an effort to break down barriers and reduce deadly homophobia in the Islamic world. The goal, however, is not simply to open a typical gay bar, but one friendly to men of Islamic faith. An entire floor, for example, will feature non-alcoholic drinks, since booze is forbidden by the faith. The bar will be open all day and night, to accommodate men who would rather keep their sexuality under wraps – but still want to dance."

Bottom line: "I hope that the mosque owners will be as open to the bar, as I am to the new mosque. After all, the belief driving them to open up their center near Ground Zero, is no different than mine."

I sincerely hope he gets it open.  Although homosexuals are abhorred by the religion, they believe that mohammed will be reborn from a man, so homosexual acts are not uncommon.   I'm sure that our muslim friendly govt will do all they can to block the opening of his gay bar.
the older I get the more I know how little I knew when I knew it all

I think they should open a store that make sausages.  :D  Then a pork barbq shack next to it.  :)

They don't believe that.  They await the return of Jesus actually.  That being said.  I believe in individual property rights, and anyone who owns a building can do whatever they want in it.

Do what???  In order for them to await the return of jesus, they have to believe in his deity.  And we know they only believe he is a prophet.

Well that depends.  I would say that the proposed mosque will be more than that.  Most likelly used to funnel funds to terrorists.  Now since property rights is about owning property and doing as you will with it, it does not convey as you will to providing to those who would kill others.

And they don't believe He was crucified, only a likeness of Him yet when this other person was crucified Jesus was taken straight to Heaven.

They do believe He is going to return though, but believe He is only a messenger and not a part of God.

This is what I understand to be the belief.  I don't see how the question of divinity relates to the second coming.  Especially considering that the original form of Christianity also didn't portray jesus as divine.

Now Steve, we don't know what plans they have for the mosque.  They have been there awhile now, and they haven't been engaged in what you describe, so i don't know why you believe that somehow a building renovation is going to suddenly change their ideological beliefs.

??  Where do you get that?  Jesus himself said he is God, therefore his divinity is absolute.

The "head guy" in building of this mosque is a supporter of hezbollah and i can't remember the other terrorist group.  Therefore a reasonable man can assume based on his support of terror that this mosque will become a haven for terror.
There is NO legitimate reason for them to build there.  with 100million they can build anywhere else but there and get no opposition.   Its not happenstance either that they chose to build there.  This is the pattern they use. Build near or on holy sites of other beliefs, or sacred grounds.  If they can get it on a holy site, then all hell breaks loose.  Like temple mount in israel.

they already own the building.  They paid for it.  They can do whatever they want with their building as long as they aren't infringing on anyone else's rights.  Since when do conservatives start trying to get the government to start telling people what they can and can't do with their property?  You're one of the biggest hypocrites i've ever met steve.

You should realize that when you push the populace to take actions against a certain minority, you are setting a precedent for the treatment of all minority groups.  Its all a matter of labels.  Under Bush, the patriot act was passed to spy on terrorists, but it was used to spy on anti-war groups.  Now, the the democrats are in power and they are using the patriot act to spy on right wing groups.  Maybe even you!

Now we see Obama calling openly for the assassination of American citizens.  Sure you might not like the people he is talking about, but where will the line be drawn?  What happens when you get labeled as the enemy or the terrorist?  Will you suddenly start to speak out for rights? for a fair trial before a court?  Why should they give you rights when you were so eager to deny the rights of other Americans?  Furthermore, who do you think you are that you can deny people their rights?

What are you babbling about??   Oh and I ought to remind you that you have never met me.

No one is treating muslims any different.  Lable my ass. It was muslims that flew planes into the towers and pentagon, as well as tried for congress or white house, not baptists, catholics or even athiests.  IT WAS MUSLIMS.  So since it WAS muslims that did so, and it IS muslims that continue to kill our men and women in iraq, afghanistan, and any place they can kidnap an American, then I don't care if they profile the crap out of them until they cease their hostilities.

I didn't vote for him.  So don't try and lay that one at my feet.
