I'm sorry If I got too passionate about the subject and I did try very hard, until KS's final sorte, to stick to facts and not attack people. If I failed I'm sorry. I don't mean to "twist" what people say as some say I do, but when they are just quoting someone else who got it wrong or lied for a purpose why do they think I'm critizing them? They do it to me too, so what's fair is fair,right? Every time I thought I was finished with this BP thing someone would come back for more. Everyone on here knows I'm an Independent but thinks its cute to call me a liberal Democrat. Why? Apparently this forum isn't like others. Why post something if you don't want comment? I thought beginning threads were just that...a beginning, and discussion is meant to follow. There used to be a Bitch Box here on Fridays. Perhaps there should be one for politics where people can complain and fire off, but it isn't meant to start a discussion. Although I might still have said something about those two tapes from Philly. I just don't like to see people being suckered and not say something. I really did get mad at Ks 's last rant. Most of what he was pissed off about wasn't said by anyone here let alone the people on his enemies list. I don't like to be misquoted. Nobody does. Either my comments weren't whining or his were too. Which is it? Not that long ago two people were talking about the fact that nobody was posting in politics except them. I guess that is no longer a problem. I'll be taking a long break soon anyway. But I will continue to stand up for myself when I need to. As I've said before if you don't like what I have to say, don't read it. I'm tired of having to pick my words so carefully to avoid being slammed when a few others, or so it seems, can just let'er rip and let the wreckage fall where it may.
  I don't know what the news media is up to but I'm angry with all of them and yes, I mean Fox too. Just look what was done to that lady from The Dept.of Ag. that was fired. That was political treachery for what ever reason. Now that what was done to her was found out, they had to apologize and are offering her another job. Somebody should go to jail for that. I just can't think of her name. Can someone remind me? Anyway if one of you saw the first report and none of the follow up, there could have been some ugly threads on the forum, just because of misinformation. Anyway, Thanks Teresa, I'll try if the others will.

That lady, whatever her name is, has been apologized to and offered a better job.  That just shows what a terrible job the media is doing in reporting the news.  The news used to be reported.  Now it is embellished until there is hardly any truth left and we poor peons can't tell what is true and what is not.  I wonder if any verifying of a story is done before it is aired.

Today's news is reporting the problems an airliner had with turbulence.  One newscast says it occurred over Wichita, Kansas yesterday.  The very next half hour of news reported it occurred somewhere in Missouri.  What do we believe?  I am having trouble with Wichita as there weren't any storms in that part of Kansas yesterday.  Missouri, however, did have storms.  What do we do?  Go out and investigate it for ourselves.

Teresa, I think if you will go back to the Religion section, check entry no. 61 of mine, then check the 2nd entry after that, you will find that I was attacked.  My responses were an attempt to explain my belief and it was all torn apart as not being accurate.  Well, over 2000 years ago is a long time and I am having trouble with my long term memory.  I do know how to type, though, and I do know that a chewed up finger on one hand has nothing to do with the failure to put a capital B on the word Bible.  To me, that is disrespect to the Bible, just as failing to capitalize America is showing disrespect to America.

Teresa, well said...(well, except for the agreeing with Pam part  . )  And you make a good point, sometimes a person needs to take a step back.  In Anmars and Larrys case I'd say waaaaay back 

Seriously though, all the "he said this and it offended me, so I'm gonna say this to offend him" business (yes, I'm guilty of it too) has gotten out of hand.  I think instead we should try and be better than that, you know, be the bigger person or whatever you wanna call it.  Anyway, just my opinion.


Oh Teresa, by the way sweetie, there is one small incorrect little part of your post.  That part when you said "...He thinks Hes right..I think I'm right."  Now I know a person of your intellect and experience and wisdom can make a mistake from time to time...hey it happens to the best of us...don't worry about it.  I mean, I think we all know you were trying to say "I think I'm right...but I know He's right." Just thought I'd point that out.

LOL, Billy, you do realize, of course, that if Anwar or I were to take many more steps back we would be getting our ankles wet.

I see there is a heat alert on for the next two days.  Try to stay inside and cool.  If you have to be outside, drink plenty of water and sit in the shade once in a while.

Teresa - I like what you said. That's the reason I started reading this forum - to maybe see a different point of view. I need to remember that no one has lived my life or seen through my eyes. I see this country only from the perspective of the life I have lived. My point of view is unique to me ( as are all of our views ) and I should not expect others to immediately see things the way I do.
