Will America be the next Greece?
-Star Parker

Other than the left-wing elite, the only others in this country willing to buy into this are low-income individuals.

What we're seeing in Greece is the death spiral of the welfare state....totally!  This isn't Greece's problem alone, and that's why its crisis has rattled global stock markets and threatens economic recovery.  Virtually every advanced nation faces the same prospect.  Aging populations have been promised huge health and retirement benefits, which countries haven't fully covered with taxes.  Well.... the reckoning has arrived in Greece, but it awaits most wealthy societies.... and remember, Greece is only about 2% of Europe.  But, anyone who thinks Greece isn't the proverbial canary in the coal mine is in a coma.

See if this sounds familiar: out-of-control spending, a bloated, self-entitled public service sector, a mountain of accumulated debt, trillions of dollars in unfunded mandates,  and a CORRUPT political class with an idiot in charge, completely out of touch with the people.  Hmmmmmm..... here' one... might that be the good ol' US of A?

With precious few exceptions, what nation couldn't be plugged into the above description?

Well said, Warph.  Don't know how anybody could disagree with you on that.

Are you sure our population is still aging like it was a few years ago? The current immigrant population is producing larger families which is giving our population a pyramid shape now with many more young people who will pay into SS widening the bottom and we older folks being the top. Greece, China and many European countries do have population problems that are still aging faster than we are.
