Yesterday I was driving home from Wichita in the pouring rain.  I stopped at the I60 hamburger place in Longton.  I asked them if there was a dining area because I was tired of driving in the rain and didn't want to eat and drive at the same time. They said no, but then the lady said, "we have a little chair and TV tray in the corner if you don't mind sitting in here with us you can come in and eat your hamburger, use the rest room and just relax before you start driving again."  So I did and visited with them.  That is that good old small town caring about people that I love.

And, that, Roma Jean, is something you would rarely see in SoCal. 

And, that, is what is good about living in Elk County.

I like being at home of an evening, remembering I left something at church, and am able to go retrieve it and be back home within 10 minutes.
