According to the Official State Atlas of Kansas, 1887, Grenola had a turntable (apparently without the accompanying roundhouse) for turning locomotives.

That facility was located about two blocks west of the station at Locust Street. I doubt if it was still in existence when this photo was taken.

The station was on Main Street where the tracks are now.

There is something on the track in this photo that looks similar to a handcar.
