Doris May Emmons, 74, of Ponca City, Oklahoma died January 30, 2010.  Doris was born May 30, 1935 in Grenola, Kansas to Charlie and Jennie Muller.  She lived most of her life in the Cambridge, Kansas area.  On December 31, 1974 she married Jerry D. Emmons in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  She was a great mother and a good friend to many.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, on August 18, 1998 and by a daughter, Jeri D. Emmons.

Survivors include her children, Sharon Nelson, Gwen Daniel, Nancy Daniels, Jennie Jones, and Ira D. Emmons; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Baptist Church, 423 E. Elm, Burden, Kansas.  Following the memorial, a light lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.  Cremation has been effected with arrangements being handled in Oklahoma.  Memorials are to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
