The Fed's won't like this one, but we should.

I liked what he had to say up to the point where he talked about sheriffs in Texas and the Bible Belt standing up to Federal authority.  I just don't see that happening, I wish it would but it won't.  I didn't see the sheriffs at Waco, Ruby Ridge, New Orleans, defending those citizens.  Personally, I think that when it comes down to it...when the metal meets the meat...the only people the average joe can rely on to watch his back, is other joes.
It is high time we eased the drought suffered by the Tree of Liberty. Let us not stand and suffer the bonds of tyranny, nor ignorance, laziness, cowardice. It is better that we die in our cause then to say that we took counsel among these.

Typically, local sheriffs ARE just "average joes"... especially in small town areas.  Unfortunately, a lot of paperwork and red-tape has made it difficult for them to even WANT to do their job correctly.  Sometimes it's easier to ignore a problem, say an area of known meth habitation that has been the site of meth arrests years ago and still nothing has been cleaned up... than to run through all the paperwork and protect citizens from damaging toxins and runoff.  For example.

Hypothetically speaking:  Wouldn't the cleanup of said property be done through the solid waste and KDHE and billed to the landowner/s for the alleged safety of the afore mentioned but negligent former inhabitant and any potential future grazer.

The problem with sheriffs being average joes is that they are more worried about doing their job correctly than doing what is right.  The example you posted Tobina is a good example.  The right thing to do would be to take care of the problem, regardless of redtape and paperwork.  Even if it wasn't the sheriffs job, he could get the ball rolling by contacting KDHE.

Do you want your Republic Back?

Sheriff Mack began his career with the Provo Police Department. Within a few years, he was promoted to Corporal, Sergeant, and eventually Detective -- even completing assignments as an undercover narcotics agent. After serving 11 years in Provo, Mack was elected as the Graham County Sheriff in Arizona.

As a two-term sheriff, Richard Mack was named Elected Official of the Year by the Arizona-New Mexico Coalition of Counties in 1994; received the NRA Law Officer of the Year; was inducted into the NRA Hall of Fame; received the 1995 Cicero Award, Samuel Adams Leadership award from the Local Sovereignty Coalition, and Gun Owners of America Defender of the Second Amendment award.
Then Congress passed the Brady Bill, severely restricting our Second Amendment rights . . .

During his terms as sheriff, federal officers informed all Arizona sheriffs that they would be required to enforce the Brady Bill and run background checks at their department's expense. Sheriff Mack challenged the constitutionality of the Brady Bill and ultimately, fought it all the way to the United States Supreme Court. In a landmark 5-4 split decision based on the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, Sheriff Mack won his case in a monumental victory for freedom.
