Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Liebau announce the marriage to their daughter Alberta to Harold Young of Howard, Kansas.  They were united in marriage at Cottonwood Falls, September 5, 1936.

Mrs. Young is a graduate of the Moline high school and has taught six years in Elk County schools.  She is now teaching the third and fuorth grades at Grenola.

Mr. Young is a graduate of Howard high school.  He is a farmer living northeast of Howard.

Mr. and Mrs. John Barnes were married at the same time making the ceremony a double wedding.--Grenola Gazette.

Mrs. Alberta Liebau Young was my second grade teacher at Severy Grade School.  I believe that she taught all four of us girls in the Weyrauch family.  I was scared of her while I was in school, but she did teach me alot.  I got a perfect spelling award in her class.  I must of been smart, huh????

Janet, I am glad you told everybody that so I don't have to.  What you didn't tell is that in Mrs. Young's second grade, perfect spelling wasn't just the spelling class.  It included every thing that was written and graded.  I think you were the only one to get that award that year.

You all can see she takes after me in everything that is important.

I may be "all wet" and thinking of someone else, but was it Harold Young that did carpenter work, etc. during the 1960's time period.  It's been so many years ago, and my memory is slipping!

I don't think so...

But I can tell you that there IS a couple of dripping old wet hens in our midst!
3 guesses and the first 2 don't count.

And I doubt that there is any hats in the county that would fit either of them... ::) ::) ::)
