Kaibryn Michael Annette Looney, age 1 month, passed away at her home in Winfield, Kansas on Tuesday morning, May 5, 2009.  Kaibryn was born in Winfield, Kansas on April 2, 2009 at William Newton Hospital to Melinda and William Looney II. 

Her family includes her parents, William and Melinda of Winfield, Kansas; her brother, Cody Looney of Hutchinson, Kansas; her paternal grandparents, Charles Looney of Dayton, Texas and Patrick Ratzloff of Rose Hill, Kansas; her maternal grandparents, Cindy and Billy Alberts of Moline, Kansas, Michael Jordan, and adopted grandmother, Dawn Harrington of Moline, Kansas; her paternal great-grandparents, Don and Carol Waldschmidt of Dexter, Kansas, Ann and Jim Looney of Winfield, Kansas, and Marilyn Horn of Vinita, Oklahoma; her maternal great-grandparents, Velma Lorene Wellner-Scott and Glenn Scott of Sedan, Kansas and Freda and N.B. Jordan Sr. of Moline, Kansas; her paternal great-great-grandmother, Erma Waldschmidt of Arkansas City, Kansas; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas.  Interment will follow.  The family will greet visitors from noon until service time on Friday.

Memorials have been established in Kaibryn's name to help defray expenses as well as a memorial for the American SIDS Foundation.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

This young family assured their baby will live on by donating her organs. Another child will now live because of a donated heart, and others will benefit from the donated tissues. God bless them.
