Winifred I. "Winnie" Krebs, age 87, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, passed away December 27, 2008 at S. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Winifred was born on May 26, 1921 in Fulton, Kansas, the daughter of David and Bessie Gump.

On August 10, 1938, she married William Roe Krebs at Prescott, Kansas.  They made their home for many years near Fredonia, Kansas where Winifred and Roe farmed, raised cattle and pigs and operated a truck farm and sold produce from their garden.  Winnie and Roe later moved to Longton, Kansas where the operated Krebs Real Estate for several years and continued to farm.  They made their home in the Elk Falls community before moving to Sapulpa, Oklahoma in the mid 1990s to be near their son and his family.

Winnie and Roe were married for 68 years until his death on December 2, 2006.  She is survived by one son, Claude Krebs of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren:; 17 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roe; and a daughter, Billie Polk.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the Elk Falls Cemetery with Pastor Robin Haines officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas on Wednesday prior to the graveside service.  Family suggests contributions to the Elk Falls Cemetery and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Zimmerman Funeral Home, P.O.
