J. C. Garrison, Jr. and Miss Golda Mae Shumaker of Howard, were united in marriage at Sedan last Saturday, February 14, by Probate Judge Rathburn of Chautauqua county.  John is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Garrison of Howard and spent all of his life in this county.  He is a graduate of our schools and for several years has been in the garage and repair business.  He recently joined the Army Air Corps and is awaiting call to report for training.

Mrs. Garrison is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George F. Shumaker of Caney, where she was graduated from the high school.  She was later graduated from the Coffeyville Beauty Academy and has been an operator in Howard for some time.  Several months ago she purchased the Smart Set Beauty Salon in Howard and is now conducting the same.

Their many friends extend congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
