Yep, and it is my understanding that many insurance companies are owned by churches. Last year we spent over 50% of our income on healthcare costs. This is not counting the transportation and misc expenses involved to maintain a heart transplant. So we are probably not in the upper percentile income level, however we both work part time for income supplement. Getting old is 'heck' but the alternative isn't welcome early either. we just cope the best we can. By the way Teresa, we pay nearly $300.00 a month for Teds' supplemental insurance. So you see, medicare doesn't take care of it all, and the older you get, the more expensive the insurance is.

I'll have to wear my wigs full time after the shock of paying old peoples insurance rates hits my head..  ;D ;D
