Bonnie, I'm glad you liked it!  I just got home today!  Have been in Houston for a week taking care of my grandchildren.  What fun!  Got to see my 4 yr. old granddaughter play T-ball and and my 9 yr old grandson play baseball.  He caught 4 innings and played second base on the 5th before the game was called on runs and time.  His team won 9-6.  Both of my boys were catchers, so I guess he comes by it naturally.  My stepgrandson is also a catcher!
Back to the subject of the roast, Frank always thought it was like what the Petroluem Club fixed when we lived in Midland.  I just happened to find it one time when I was searching for recipes.  I read cookbooks like most people read novels!
My daughter complains about the beef out there, she also says she can only find bone-in hams around Easter and Christmas.

I thought you might be gone, I didn't remember for sure when you said you were going down there to stay with the children.  It is so much fun to watch them in their activities.

I guess our Easter hams have the bones in them, we get the spiral cut hams, then use the ham bone (with ham left on it) for "ham and beans!"  That's the "Kansas Way," isn't it?

I made this over the week end, and we liked it! A little expensive for the condiment part, I wonder if a reasonable substitute could be used? I'm trying to think of all the flavors involved.
