Does anyone remember making it?  First daughter just found the recipe they used in Home Ec years and years ago.

Ole Granny

Sure don't.  But please post it.

Grape Meringue Pie from Home Ec. class in 1963 or 64

3/4 c, sugar                        1/4 c. cornstarch
1 1/3 c, grape juice              2 egg yolks
2 Tbs. butter                       2 tsp. lemon juice

Mix sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan gradually stir in grape juice.  Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boil 1 min.  Slowly stir at least half the hot mixture into egg yolks, then blend into hot mixture in saucepan.  Boil 1 min. longer, stirring until smooth.  Blend in butter, lemon juice.  Pour into baked pie shell.  Cover with pie meringue.  Bake.  Serve as soon as cool.

That sounds really good and easy too. Thank you. :)

Ole Granny

Since I have grape in the fridge, I shall busy myself in the kitchen.  Thanks so very much.
