Howard Courant
December 2, 1920

John Massey and Mrs. Sarah Terbush, both of Howard, were married at the Metropolitian Hotel on Thanksgiving Day, Rev. E. A. Jewett, officiating.  This interesting event was celebrated in an unusual manner, some oil men staying at the Met. taking much interest in the wedding, and by industriously canvassing among our citizens raised a fund of over a hundred dollars for the worthy old couple.

Mr. Massey is an old soldier and is almost eighty years of age.  His bride is also approaching eighty and has been a widow three or four years, her late husband being killed while driving a trotting horse at the Topeka races a few years ago.  Since that time Mrs. T. has made her hmoe near Howard.

After the happy old couple were pronounced husband and wife, they were given a fine supper at the cafe and then they went to their cozy home, in this city, where they will--if the wishes of many friends come true--live happily and contentedly.
