Mary Aleatha Miller, 85, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away November 4, 2020 at her home.  Born July 21, 1935 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Truman and Dorothy (Sweet) Harrington.

Mary was raised in Grenola, Kansas and received her education there, graduating from Grenola High School in 1954.  She was united in marriage to Charles Lee Miller on August 21, 1954 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline, Kansas.  The couple made their first home in Moline and later moved to Wichita, Kansas.  In 1969, the family moved to Winfield, Kansas where Mary began working for Binney & Smith.  She remained at that workplace for over 27 years, retiring in 1997.  She was proud to be a member of the Binney & Smith 25-Year-Club.  Charles preceded her in death on June 28, 2013.  Mary enjoyed flowers, listening to music, doing crafts, and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow.

Her family includes her children, Charlie (Chris) Miller of Winfield, Kansas, Trudy (Glenn Pappan) Minkler of Winfield, Kansas, Teresa (Tom) McCoy of Mont Belview, Texas, James Miller of Winfield, Kansas, and Timothy Miller of Winfield, Kansas; her brother, James (Janet) Harrington of Howard, Kansas; her sisters, Carolyn Chrisman of Winfield, Kansas and Beth Moore of Grenola, Kansas; her aunt Shirley Gillespie; her grandchildren, Jessica Denton, Holly McWilliams, Danielle Wilson, Erin Miller and Bryan Clark, Kelsey (Lance) Miller, and Nathan (Lindsay) Miller; and her great-grandchildren, Shailee Denton, Kyson Clark, Reese McWilliams, Jaelyn Denton, Grayson Wilson, and Tripp Miller.  In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Ann Harrington and two brothers-in-law, Tim Chrisman and Darrel Moore.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas.  Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Winfield.  A visitation is scheduled at the funeral home on Sunday, November 8, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with family greeting visitors from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  A memorial has been established in Mary's name for Good Shepherd Hospice.  Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service, 4001 E. 9th Avenue, Winfield, Kansas 67156 which has been entrusted with arrangements.
