Hazel M. Woods-Faulkner, age 93, passed away June 22, 2018 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas.  She was born March 17, 1925 in Sherman Township, Missouri, the daughter of Albert Leslie and Linnie (Noland) Doyle.

Hazel was a graduate of Benton High School Class of 1943.  On March 12, 1946, she married Norman Woods.  They were married for nine years until his death on December 22, 1956.  On July 5, 1968, she married Jack Faulkner.  They were married for 19 years until his death on March 30, 1987. 

Hazel worked several years as a cook at the Fredonia Elementary School in Fredonia, Kansas and then began working for  the Kansas Bank Note in Fredonia.  She retired in 1987 after 22 years of employment there. Hazel was a member of the Severy United Methodist Church in Severy, Kansas and the United Methodist Women's group.  She enjoyed doing embroidery work and spending time with her church family and friends.  Most of all, Hazel enjoyed watching and hearing about her grandchildren.

Hazel is survived by her daughter, Norma Hader and husband, Bill of Coffeyville, Kansas; her stepson, Greg Faulkner of Severy, Kansas; her son-in-law, Jim Barnhart of Liberty, Kansas; her sister, Alberta Elledge of Germantown, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Brad Hader and wife, Tammy of Wichita, Kansas, Jeff Hader and wife, Lori of Norfolk, Nebraska, Jenny Puls and husband, Stu of Wichita, Kansas, Patty Felts and husband, Mike of Liberty, Kansas, Chad Barnhart and wife, Carla of Liberty, Kansas, and Barbara Cox and husband, Rob of Dearing, Kansas; five great-grandchildren, Zack Hader, Aly Puls, Dawn Hough and husband, Cody, Tommy Felts, and Casey Barnhart; and great-great-grandson, Brayden Hough.  Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her son, Eddie Woods; her daughter, Judy Barnhart; her granddaughter, Ann Bell, and her sister, Alice Jean Woods.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Severy United Methodist Church with Pastor Susan Galvan officiating.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Memorials have been suggested to the Severy United Methodist Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.
