June Etta Gillespie passed away November 26, 2016 surrounded by family.  She was 96 years of age.  She was born on July 7, 1920 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma to Clarence and Cora Ramage.

June grew up and attended school in the Winfield, Kansas area.  On May 29, 1940, she married Wilbur Gillespie at St. Mary's Church in Moline, Kansas at 6:00 a.m.  Wilbur and June made their home and raised their family in the Moline community throughout their lives.  She worked in health care and was administrator of Elk Manor Nursing Home for many years before retiring.  She was a devoted member of St. Mary's Church at Moline and was an active member of St. Mary's Altar Society.

Survivors include her sons, George (Diane) and Jim (Jean-deceased), both of Moline, Kansas; Edward (Dana) and Richard (Lisa), both of Wichita, Kansas; and Kevin (Barbara) of Mulvane, Kansas; daughters, Carolyn (Jim) Wilson of Rose Hill, Kansas, Joan (Rocky) Welborn of Wichita, Kansas; Cleo Jean (Don) Livergood of Caddo Mills, Texas, and Connie (Kevin) O'Neill of Fredonia, Kansas; 28 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur; her son, Mick; and her grandson, Vince.

The Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016, both at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline, Kansas with Father Sixtus YeMyint officiating.  Interment will be held at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Moline.  A memorial has been established with the St. Mary's Altar Society.  Online condolences for the family may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Funeral arrangements are being made with Countryside Funeral Home, P.O.
