Prcia L. "Tallu" Rivers, 84, of Grenola, Kansas, passed away May 8, 2015 at her home.  She was born November 7, 1930 in Cedar Vale, Kansas to Gilbert L. and Enah A. (Nelson) Liebau.

Priscilla was raised in Cedar Vale and Grenola and eventually Laramie, Wyoming.  She graduated from Laramie High School in 1948 and from the College of Education at the University of Wyoming in 1953.  In July of 1955, she married Roland B. "Ron" Rivers in Laramie.  While her husband played basketball and worked for Phillips Petroleum Company, Priscilla continued her lifelong career as an educator.  She taught in four states and retired in May of 1996 from USD 462 Central of Burden in Kansas.  Mrs. Rivers dedicated her life to teaching children to learn and think.  She was a fan of Thomas Jefferson, the U.S. Constitution, John Wayne, and never straddling a fence.

Survivors include her son, Randl Rivers and wife, Kristy of Nokomis, Florida; daughters, Ronda R. Stone and her husband, Clay of Emporia, Kansas and Robin Rivers of Grenola, Kansas; 4 grandchildren, Spencer and Harrison Stone, Logan and wife, Whitney Rivers, and Kelsey Rivers; a great-granddaughter, Ellie; numerous nieces and nephews; and cowboy companion, Charley Chambers.  She was preceded in death by her husband on January 14, 1990; her parents; her brother, F.G. "Buck" Liebau; and her sister-in-law, Joann Liebau. 

Cremation has been effected.  A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Wounded Warrior Project or Hillsdale College.  Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service, 4001 E. 9th Avenue, Winfield, Kansas 67156.  Online condolences may be made at www.milesfuneralservice.com
