Loyd Arbuckle, 87, former owner of Mid Kansas Oil Company and Elk County rancher, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014.  He was born August 2, 1926 in Grenola, Kansas to Wiley and Grace (Morris) Arbuckle.

Loyd was a longtime member of the Riverside Christian Church in Wichita, Kansas and a family man.

He is survived by his wife of 69 yeas, Helen; children Connie (Phil) Fullerton, Barry (Jan) Arbuckle, and Dad (Sherry) Arbuckle, all of Wichita, Kansas; brothers, Wilbur and Ralph (Martha) Arbuckle; grandchildren, Gregory Arbuckle, Amanda Wyatt, Aaron Fullerton, Jennifer Zucker, Ashley Ruckman, and Lance, Arbuckle; 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and Buddy, the dog.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Fern Hartke and Nell Schubert; and his twin brother, Boyd Arbuckle.

Services were held on February 13, 2014 at Riverside Christian Church in Wichita, Kansas with graveside services at Greenlawn Cemetery in Grenola, Kansas.

Memorials have been established with Riverside Christian Church, 1001 Litchfield, Wichita, Kansas 67203; Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas 67219; or Rainbow Meadows Equine Rewscue, 1949 Dalton Road, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
