Beatrice grew up in Howard, Kansas and is the sister of Socorro (Corrie) Gallardo-Montgomery and John Gallardo, both of Howard.  Her parents were Henry and Josefina Gallardo, longtime residents of Howard.

Beatrice was the first one of the children in this family to pass away. I had a good visit with her this year  when Myrna and I went to Wichita to attend her sister Gloria's 50th wedding anniversary. All 11 of the Gallardo brothers and sisters were at Gloria's golden wedding party, it was great to get to visit with all of them again. Growing up in Howard our family was the biggest and the Gallardo family was the second biggest. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
