Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline on Friday announced the 22 states with concealed-carry licenses that will be recognized.

Concealed-carry director Chuck Sexson said the states were selected because they had requirements equal to or greater than those in Kansas.

The standards included requiring that licensees are at least 21, do not have pending arrests or charges for disqualifying acts, and have undergone a national fingerprint-based background check and training with firing exercises.

Based on a review of the applicable state laws and conversations with officials from each of the respective states, the following 22 states satisfy the requirements listed above:

Alaska
Arizona
Arkansas
Colorado
Florida
Hawaii
Kentucky
Louisiana
Michigan
Minnesota
Missouri
Nebraska
Nevada
New Jersey
New Mexico
North Carolina
Ohio
Oklahoma
South Carolina
Tennessee
Texas
West Virginia
