Another blockbuster movie, Man of Steel is apparently doing much better than the Lone Ranger.

Man of Steel cost the same $225m and had a marketing budget of $150m.

Some little known facts about Superman (some alert senior citizens reading this may already be aware):

Clark Kent was issued Social Security Number 092-09-6616.

Superman boxed Muhammad Ali in 1978 and lost by KO. The match was shown on intergalactic TV.

Clark Kent failed his Army physical during WWII. With his x-ray vision he inadvertently read the eye chart in the next room.

Even though from another planet, Clark Kent is most probably Jewish, while his step parents are/were gentiles.

Clark Kent's middle name is Joseph.
