Dexter L. Stephens, age 76  of Peck, Kansas, died October 8, 2012.  He was born October 15, 1935 in McCracken, Kansas to John and Ruth (Whitis) Stephens.

Dexter graduated from Howard High School in Howard, Kansas with the Class of 1955.  On April 21, 1974, he fell in love with Donna L., and they were married June 9, 1990.  He was a United State Air Force veteran and retired Boeing employee.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; sons, Craig Stephens, Noel Smith, and Nathan Smith; daughter, Kelly Marcellis; sister, Imajean Hayes; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Norma McCoy; and a son, Neal W. Smith.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Greenwood Cemetery, 6231 W. 47th Street South in Wichita, Kansas.  Heritage Funeral Home in Andover, Kansas is in charge of arrangements.
