Charles Ray "Chuck" Penrow, 67, a longtime resident of Fredonia, Kasnas, died May 6, 2012 at the Fredonia Regional Hospital in Fredonia, Kansas.  He was born February 20, 1945 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the son of Charles and Elsie (Perry) Penrow.

On August 2, 1975, Charles married Yvonne Louise Swisher at Las Vegas, Nevada.  Charles retired in 1995 after 30+ years of being a carpenter.  He moved from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Fredonia, Kansas in 1997.

Survivors include his spouse, Yvonne Penrow of Fredonia, Kansas; one son, Zane Swisher and wife, Nadine of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one half brother, Everett McDonald of California'; and three grandchildren.  Charles was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Judy Wilson; and one brother, Lewis Wilson.

Graveside services were held on May 12, 2012 at the Longton Cemetery in Longton, Kansas with Rev. Max Dawson officiating.  Timmons Funeral Home, P.O. Box 168, Fredonia, Kansas, was in charge of arrangements.
