MARRIAGE OF POPULAR COUPLE
[/b]

Rex V. Tarwater and Mrs. Kathryn Vinette Joined in Wedlock Saturday Evening

At the home of the bride, Saturday evening, May 14, 1932, Rex V. Tarwater and Mrs. Kathryn Strachan Vinette, both of Howard, were united in marriage by Rev. A. R. Griggs, Presbyterian minister.

The bride is a native of Howard and a graduate of Howard H. S.  She studied law in the office of the late A. F. Sims and was his assistant for quite a long time and after his death continued with Attorney Clifford Sullivan.  A year ago she was regularly admitted to the Kansas bar after rigid examination before the Supreme Court at Topeka after which she formed a partnership  with Mr. Sullivan in general law practice.  She is a fine musician, a gifted singer and has been a member of the Presbyterian church choir as pianist and soprano all her full grown life.

Rex Tarwater has lived in this community nearly all his life, as a farmer and later engaging in the real estate, loan and land business.  He has for several years served Howard ably as city clerk, and perhaps knows more about the city business and affairs than all the rest of our population.  He is a member of Carter-Rader Post American Legion, and is a highly respected and public spirited citizen.

There is no more popular couple in Howard than Mr. and Mrs. Tarwater and this entire community joins in wishing them a long, prosperous and happy wedded life.

They will be at home in the Tarwater residence near the Baptist Church.
