Dudgeon--Pemberton Marriage

Miss Veta Dudgeon, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Dudgeon of Howard and Mr. Ora Pemberton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mat Pemberton of Longton, were married in marriage , March 25, 1931, at Eureka, Kansas by Probate Judge Roy Hamlin.

They were accompanied by Mrs. Roy Indermill, sister of the bride; Eunice Pemberton, Mrs. Herbert Frye, sisters of the groom and Mr. Herbert Frye.

After the ceremony they returned to Howard where a seven o'clock dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dudgeon.  Those present at the dinner were:  Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Dudgeon, Mr. and Mrs. Mat Pemberton and children Eunice, Flora, Dora, and Noel, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Frye and daughter Ruth Virginia of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Indermill and children Wesley, Ruth, Junior, and Arlene of Piedmont, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dudgeon and son Bobby, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dudgeon and son Benton Eugene and Geraldine Harrod.

Mr. and Mrs. Pemberton are well known in this community and are liked by all who know them.  All wish them a prosperous and happy life.  They will soon be at home on a farm south of Longton.
