Judy Diane (Rogers) Potter, age 57, of Arkansas City, Kansas, died Monday, February 21, 2011 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.  Judy was the daughter of Marion Albert and Opal Louise (Crowther) Rogers.

Judy was a graduate of Grenola High School in Grenola, Kansas.  On April 28, 1974, she married Robert Lee Potter in Grenola.  Judy and Robert were married for 37 years.  Robert survives at their home.

Judy was an outgoing person who enjoyed life.  She enjoyed going shopping, cooking, and even doing a little gambling.  She enjoyed the atmosphere of the casinos so much that she even got a job at one of them as a hostess.  She was also known for baking love at the IGA store in Winfield, Kansas.  She worked in the deli department for many years baking breads, cakes, slicing the deli meat, and cooking the chicken.  She wanted to make sure that each person received their food with love and a smile.  Judy also enjoyed taking care of her dogs.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Robert, of the home; son, Robert Lee Potter jr. of Arkansas City, Kansas; brothers, George Rogers of Wichita, Kansas and Jeff Rogers of El Dorado, Kansas; sisters, Denise Hutson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Cindy Dixon of Moline, Kansas, and Shelley Linder of Andover, Kansas; and grandson, Christian Joseph Potter.  Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grenola United Methodist Church in Grenola, Kansas with burial to follow at the Grenola Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.  Memorials are suggested to the Judy Potter Memorial Fund and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 206 E.
