IT'S NOT WHAT YOU GATHER, BUT WHAT YOU SCATTER....
THAT TELLS WHAT KIND OF LIFE YOU HAVE LIVED!

Ms Bear

That could be a whole new topic.  Will be interesting.

Guns, It's a White's MXT.
Roma Jean---How nimble are you? I mean like can you dig and then get up off the ground ? If so I might have a job for you.
Jo, I have not a clue as to what you are talking about.
Ms Bear, Give me a time or two of digging davits everywhere and not find treasure and I might know where an almost new detector can be bought. My intention was to go this afternoon but I sit down in the recliner to put my shoes on and my wife said she was going to take a nap so being the good husband I am I kicked back in the recliner and listened for the phone to ring. I know how annoying it is to be woke up from a nap to answer the phone so I feel like I did my good deed for the day

Jar..not only can I get up off the ground I have my own shovel and posthole digger.  If all else fails I can shoot it out of the ground.  Ha ha ha

jarhead

Roma Jean,
You just said a very dirty word, to me. POST HOLE DIGGER is a no-no. The last post hole I dug cost me $1,300 (plus change). Atmos gas company frowns on you hitting a gas line without first calling Dig-Safe. A mistake I won't be making again in the near future. Went detecting this afternoon. Found 18 pennies---3 dimes --one quarter. Nothing old but 73 cents is better than a swift kick in the butt. Also a healthy handful of pull tabs.

You're going to have a great time with that new toy, especially when the weather warms up!!!

kshillbillys

Jarhead, I have an early 70s White's metal detector, not near as fancy as the one you have, but I'll bet that it could find 73 cents worth of dirty coins, some polished .22 shells, lint and maybe even a wallet with a picture in it resembling you. Maybe when the weather is better we could go metal detecting.---Robert

P.S. By the way, I didn't have any problem with that ammo running through my gun. We run 90 rounds through there at a very high rate of speed. It didn't jam or misfire once. I don't think your gun was made to shoot junk ammo.
ROBERT AND JENNIFER WALKER

YOU CALL US HILLBILLYS LIKE THAT'S A BAD THING! WE ARE SO FLATTERED!

THAT'S MS. HILLBILLY TO YOU!

larryJ

Jarhead, truth be told, you were trying to tap into that gas line for free gas for the bunker, right?

Larryj
HELP!  I'm talking and I can't shut up!

I came...  I saw...  I had NO idea what was going on...

jarhead

Larry,
I don't think there was enough gas leaking from that 1 1/4 inch line to heat my bunker but what do I know. The "estimated' loss of gas was around $500 worth in two hours time. The original bill was for $1, 700 but some kind soul at the gas company gave me a break and for that I'm thankful.

When I get to Moline I will definitely call DIgrite before I plant the first bush. Good lesson Jarhead.
