SF Calls for Boycott of Arizona over Immigration Law

SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco city officials called Monday for a boycott of Arizona and businesses based there to protest that state's strict new immigration law.

City Attorney Dennis Herrera compared San Francisco's opposition to the measure to its stance against apartheid in South Africa, the oppression of Catholics in Northern Ireland, and discrimination against the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

"San Francisco has always taken a leadership role in issues of moral importance," Herrera said.

Arizona's new legislation, signed into law Friday, makes being in the country illegally a crime punishable by six months in jail and a $2,500 fine.

The SF career politicians like City Attorney Dennis Herrera and City Supervisor David Campos... and, Yes, Mayor Phil Gordon of Phoenix, who's a real horse's ass and one of your more DUMBER mayors in this Nation.... are cons that have modest to no creditability, for the most part they are viewed as noisy insubordinates, anti-America because they strive to discredit the very laws and Constitution that protects their liberty, health, and well-being.  As significant, any individual that thinks for a moment this AZ Immigration law is not constitutional is delusional at best.  AZ is not targeting a whole people.  AZ is targeting illegal aliens, the wetbacks that came across the Rio Grand and broke a federal law by crossing our US Border.

Lets look at the problems that these wetback illegals have cost this Nation.  The economic effects of millions on welfare, children in schools for whom no taxes are paid and huge increases in prison populations.  (Thirteen percent of the total illegal immigrants... 18 million... are in our American prisons.... this is an extraordinary, figure.)  And then there's expenses of uninsured motorist accidents, free health care in emergency rooms and public hospitals, a myriad of dual language expenses, and the economic loss from sending wages back to the mother country.  It also presumes that some high percentage of illegal aliens work for businesses that are paying for their payroll taxes, when, in fact, most income is actually being generated in the underground economy, for which no payroll taxes are paid.   And what about the gigantic Medicare decificit, the overall Federal deficit and the $20 billion California deficit.  Do the dickwads in SF have any clue how all of this is going to be paid for?  Of course not.  I wonder who will lose out here really, Arizona because a bunch or idiots in SF think they know what is good for everyone have decided to boycott the state, or anyone in Arizona who decides to not come to SF and spend their tourist dollars.  Again the city leaders of SF have proven that they don't know what the word ILLEGAL means.  ARIZONA, like every other border state as well as the rest of the country can no longer be the saviors of every person who thinks they are entilted to come here and work, just because the economy in their country is crap.  At some point we have to draw a line, and if the Feds aren't going to stand up take charge and be responsible to Americans someone has to.

Now.... for the people who sympathize with the illegal plight, here's something to ponder....

Let's say I break into your house.  Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave.  But I say, 'No! I like it here.  It's better than my house.  I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors.  I've done all the things you don't like to do.  I'm hard-working and honest... (except for when I broke into your house).  According to the protesters: You are REQUIRED to let me stay in your house.  You are REQUIRED to feed me.  You are REQUIRED to educate my kids.  It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself.  I'm a hard-working and honest, person, except for... well, you know... I did break into your house.  There is nothing you can do about it without being accused of cold, uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, racist, and bigoted behavior.
Oh yeah, I DEMAND that you learn MY LANGUAGE!  ....Warph

WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Los Angeles Mayor Anthony whats-his-name has announced today the city of Los Angeles will also, indeed, boycott Arizona.  He says the boycott will not harm the economy of LA, but will affect the economy of Arizona.

Which begs the question, (all politicians are not stupid contrary to popular belief), how many hours and how many meetings did the mayor have with his advisers and other politicians to figure out if LA is going to be hurt by a boycott.  I can just see it now.
They figure out that boycotting a whole state will not hurt them financially, so do the PC thing and yell out that LA is going to boycott Arizona.

Which begs the question, HOW DOES A CITY BOYCOTT A STATE?  Does this mean if I choose to go to Kansas for the upcoming cousins reunion, do I have to not drive through Arizona?  Or maybe, just don't stop for gas or food until I get to New Mexico (which probably will pass a similar law just to be PC.)

So, Warph, I do live in the county of Los Angeles, but not the city.  So I am not going to observe any boycott of Arizona.  I know this will have a big affect on your economy  :D, but I will try not to boycott Arizona.

Note to politicians:  IS IT POSSIBLE TO FIND SOME OTHER PROBLEM TO SOLVE THAT RANKS A LITTLE MORE IMPORTANT THAN SLAPPING ARIZONA'S HAND FOR PASSING SUCH A LAW?
