Bonnie Louise (Wheeler) Smith of Derby, Kansas, age 79, retired Medical Office Manager, died Friday, August 7, 2009.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Viola Wheeler; son, Troy Smith; brothers, Frank and Willard Wheeler; sisters, Dorothy Seward, Ramona Tatum and Francis Wheeler.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Robert; son, Kelly (Shirley) Smith of Rose Hill, Kansasl; daughter, Jill (Arlen) Thomassian of Boulder, Colorado; brothers, Robert Wheeler of Elk City, Kansas and Melvin Wheeler, Jr. of Aurora, Colorado; sisters, Mary Kiser of El Paso, Texas and Glenda Bersuch, Ft. Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Ben and Kyle Smith, and Troy, Athena, Michelle and Simon Thomassian; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, Kansas with family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Moline Cemetery in Moline, Kansas.
