A teenage boy shot and killed an intruder in his Spring Branch home Thursday. According to police, the boy was sleeping alone in the home on Kerrwood when he said a man kicked in his back door.

The kids dad seems very on top of things. He had his son prepared for just such an event. They said that the young man is getting counseling. He seemed like a very mature and level headed teenager.
