Sarah Hollingsworth was born in Randolph County, Indiana, May 15, 1829.  She was married to Stacy M. Jones Oct. 28, 1847.  To this union were born nine children of whom five are still living.  Ira Jones, Moline, Kansas.  Mrs. Georgia Moore, Elk Falls; Mrs. Almeda Ellis, Niotaze; Mrs. Susie Irwin, Shoshone, Idaho; Elias H. Jones, Laclede, Idaho.  The family came to Kansas in the year 1866 and stopped at Emporia, Kans., where they lived for two years.  They then came to Elk Falls and located near the mouth of Wild Cat, among the first settlers.  Mr. Jones died March 25, 1881, in the Indian Territory.  Mrs. Jones united with the Christian church in her youth and was a faithful member all of her life.  She died at the home of her son near Moline, Jan. 5, 1910, and was buried in Elk Falls cemetery, the following day.  Elder N. Hill conducted a brief service at the grave.  The family take this opportunity of extending thanks to the friends who so kindly assisted.
