Opinion Line

From the Opinion Line in today's Wichita Eagle.

"Treasure all our World War II veterans.  About 1,000 a day are passing away.  They made the United States what it is today.  They didn't ask for anyone to thank them.  They thought it was their duty and job to save us.  We could have been under German rule now.  They deserve all our praises."

I wish this had appeared in time for Memorial Day.
