If it's all the quiet you're finding in Elk County...Don't worry...You eventually get used to hearing nothing...No sirens...No hyped-up super sub-woofers that make your windows shake as they pass by...No constant hum of cars, intent on going who-knows-where.   In fact, you might begin to notice the sounds of nature...kids laughing...even neighbors' conversations that you gain WAY too much information from! lol

We don't have a noon siren.  The only time our siren sounds is for a fire, a tornado or a fire meeting.

We do, however, have our courthouse clock - which chimes every hour from 8 am to 9 pm.
