     Sharon Lee Vancil, 56, of Eureka, died on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Eureka Nursing Center.  She was born on January 15, 1952, the daughter of Howard Leon and Maria Coletta (Mayne) Vancil.  She was raised in Severy and was a 1970 graduate of Severy High School.  After high school she moved to Emporia, where she graduated from Emporia State University.  She lived in Hutchinson for a while until disability forced her to return home.
     Sharon is survived by her mother, Coletta Vancil of Eureka, and two nephews, Steve Vancil of Severy and Kelly Vancil of Severy.  She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Gary.
     Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 14, at the Severy United Methodist Church with Mr. Richard LaMunyon officiating.  Interment followed in South Lawn Cemetery at Severy.  A memorial has been made to the Eureka Nursing Center.  Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home; P.O.
