Georgia Opal Hinkle, 69, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, formerly of Howard, Kansas, died Monday, April 28, 2008.  She was born September 30, 1938 in Dandridge, Tennessee, the daughter of John M. and Rosa Bell (Fawl) White.

On June 6, 1959, Georgia was married to David W. Hinkle in Wichita, Kansas where they lved until 1970 before moving to Howard, Kansas.  In 1986 they moved to Oklahoma to be closer to their family.  She was married to David for 46 years until his death on January 30, 2006.

Georgia loved to be outdoors working in her garden and flowers and watching butterflies.  She was active within the Nowata Senior Citizens and her local church attending Bible studies and Ladies Auxiliaries.  She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, going fishing, and her dog, Jenny.  Most of all, her heart was dedicated to her family.

Survivors include:  four daughters, Debora Childress of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Teresa Wells of Howard, Kansas, Rose Greene of Nowata, Oklahoma, and Lisa Blum of Claremore, Oklahoma; one sister, Ruby Ingram of Knoxville, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David, four brothers, and three sisters.

Graveside sevices will be held Friday, May 2, 2008, at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Fall River, Kansas at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Arlis Heninger of th New Life Assembly of God Church, Nowata, Oklahoma, officiating.  Visitation wil be at 10:30 a.m. until noon Friday, May 2, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Howard, Kansas.  The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Asociation and can be mailed to Countryside Funeral Home, P.O. Box 247, Fredonia, Kansas  66736.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Arrangements are being handled by Zimmerman Funeral Home, Howard, Kansas.
