Did you know that the Iraqi Navy is operational? They have 5 - 100-foot patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels, and a naval infantry regiment.

Did you know that Iraq 's Air Force consists of three operational squadrons. Which includes 9 reconnaissance and 3 US C-130 transport aircraft (under Iraqi operational control) which operate day and night, and will soon add 16 UH-1 helicopters and 4 Bell Jet Rangers?

OF COURSE WE DIDN'T KNOW!
WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW?
BECAUSE OUR MEDIA WON'T TELL US!

Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades.

Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in  Iraq  serves two purposes:
It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the  United States  thus minimizing consequent support;
and it is intended to discourage American citizens.

Above facts are verifiable on the Department of Defense web site.

Thanks for posting "good things happening" in Iraq.  It's only from limited sources that we ever read about the positives!

Isn't this what I have been saying?  We are not told anything that makes the U. S. look good and it is our own media that is doing it.  Why?  Because the public wants the gory, disgraceful, confrontational and if they don't get it, they watch something else.  Why?  Because that is all most of them have ever seen on TV;  news or entertainment.  I am going back to my basketball games.

Wilma, the big reason you are not hearing the good that is happening in Iraq and other places is the media is totally liberal, left. They don't want the President, the Republicans, conservatives and what the Military is doing to look good. The press has always leraned toward being liberal. The Major newspapers, and TV Network news  have always been liberal.
