Thanks for the welcome.   A cousin told me about this site and I find it quite enjoyable.  No, I am not from the Jay family.  My mother was Iva Jane (Andrews) Jordan and my grandmother was Edith Collins Andrews.  I used to spend many summers and holidays in Howard and Moline.  At one time I honestly believed that according to my grandmother I was related to everyone in town.  She used to always mention some sort of family connection whenever someones name came up! I can remember going to the barber shop (Cooleys) to find out about some haying work for the day.  Larry
