I sometimes check the ABC news links - they had this one:

Wis. Festival Sells Deep-Fried Testicles
Wisconsin Town Holds Fried 'Testicle Festival'; 'After a Few Beers' They're Like Meatballs

http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=3170062

So what's the big deal? The article implies it's a unique meal. I guess no one there has ever been to the South???

The only difference that I see, is those folks "up there" are city slickers, while in these parts we're "country folk."  If those city slickers would care to "hang around a spell,"  we country folk just may teach them a thing or two. ;D  "Mountain oysters" have been around for a long time, it just took the city slickers a while to catch on. :)
